Meet Neil

15+ years in family law. One lawyer. Yours.

I'm Neil Kirby. I run a solo family law practice in Parramatta, helping people across Western Sydney through separations, property settlements, parenting arrangements, and binding financial agreements. You speak to me on every call, every email, and every court appearance.

The work that matters.

[Specific qualifications and credentials to list here. Suggested items: year admitted as a solicitor in NSW, law school and year of graduation, any specialist accreditation (e.g. Law Society of NSW Accredited Specialist in Family Law — high value if Neil holds this), current professional memberships (Law Society of NSW, Family Law Section, etc.), and any notable previous firms or roles before going solo.]

Approach

How I work.

The way I practise reflects how I think family law should work. Four things drive everything I do.

Solo practice. No handoffs.

From your first call to your final resolution, you deal with me. No juniors, no intake teams, no being passed sideways when your matter gets complicated.

Plain English. Straight answers.

Family law has its own vocabulary. I translate it. You'll know what your options are, what each one costs, and what I actually recommend you do.

Out of court first.

Most matters never see a courtroom, and that's the goal. I negotiate, mediate, and draft consent orders before anything more adversarial. Court is reserved for when there's no other way through.

No surprises on cost.

You'll get a written estimate before any work starts and a clear running statement as we go. Fixed fees where the scope allows. Stage-based estimates where it doesn't.

Off the clock

When I'm not at the office.

[One short paragraph on Neil outside of work. Family, hobbies, community involvement, sport, anything that adds a human note. Even one or two specifics ("I coach my son's junior rugby side on weekends" or "I'm a long-suffering Parramatta Eels fan") makes the page feel like a person rather than a brand. Optional but high-impact.]

Ready to talk it through?

The first conversation is free, takes about thirty minutes, and you'll know more about where you stand than you did before you picked up the phone.
